Two changes to the Working Holiday program took effect on 1 July 2026. Your age is now assessed on the day you lodge, and the age limit rose to 35 for four countries.

Skilled Nominated Visa subclass 190 — NSW update
NSW set out who would be invited to apply for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) in the 2020-21 financial year: health, ICT and engineering occupations, 65+ points, Competent English and a matching skills assessment. The subclass still exists; the round does not.
Skilled Work Regional visa subclass 491 — NSW nomination opened
NSW opened nomination for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) for applicants on the regional occupation list who were living in a designated regional area. That round closed on 26 June 2020.
